Kai Tak-campus originally served as the Officers’ Mess of the Royal Air Force, then became the Hong Kong Police Detective School, before it was converted to be the founding location of the Academy of Visual Arts.
It has been classified as a Grade I historical building with a unique early 20th century colonial architectural style. Today it is home to kaitak Centre for Research and Development in the Visual Arts, a division of Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University.

Visitors may take the MTR to Choi Hung Station on the Kwun Tong Line. Use Exit A2. Walk towards Tsuen Shek House, Lam Shek House and Wong Shek House of Ping Shek Estate. The campus is opposite the Estate.
Guided tours are held every fourth Saturday of the month at 10:30am and 11:30am. Each guided tour will last about 45 minutes. Visits will be arranged on a first-come-first-served basis. The capacity of each guided tour will not exceed 15 persons. Please make online reservation here.
